Last week felt like it dragged on for a month.

The media put on a masterclass in manufacturing consent, artificially and prematurely dubbing Pete Buttigieg to victor out of Iowa under circumstances that, in any other race, would have been left “too close to call” until we had more clarity.

The leader of the House Democrats stood up and applauded Juan Guaidó at the State of the Union and cheered Trump’s assassination of a foreign official.

Donald Trump was acquitted in his impeachment trial, raising new questions of both accountability in government and Republican servitude.

But it’s not without an upside, of course.

Parasite won Best Picture. We’ve solved all the problems.
