Ken Klippenstein is back and joins us this time to break down the theatrics and spectacle of the debt ceiling negotiations. Despite politicians bemoaning the colossal amount of debt, the military budget remained unscathed and, in fact, even grew. Food stamps and other social safety net programs, however, took a cut.
We also take a look at the presidential campaigns of RFK Jr. and Cornel West, how with the former there’s a litany of fringe beliefs and conspiracy theories and with West how his association with a hyper-online “Peoples’ Party” without real party infrastructure is poised to thwart his campaign before it ever fully begins.
To close, Ken fills us in on his latest piece in The Intercept about the DHS report on Cop City protesters and how it strangely included language that exactly matched far-right agitator Andy Ngo’s writing just a day prior.
